Show Us Your Life-Master Bedroom

I have decided to participate in Kelly's Korner "Show Us Your Life" posts, which are held each Friday.  I'm by no means pleased with my house, in regards to decorating, but I thought what the heck!

Our master bedroom, bath, and sitting area are all on the second floor of our home.  We have done a lot of work in our master bedroom.  We tore all of the paneling down, retextured, and painted.  We want new flooring, but that will have to wait awhile.  I also wanted to scrape my popcorn ceilings, but that didn't happen, either.

We bought our furniture from my sister, Sommer, when she decided to get new furnishings.  I love the sleigh bed.

I found this shelf, which is an old fireplace mantle, in a grain bin on our property.

Clint's side of the bed and dresser.

My side of the bed.  I picked up the wall art from the dump!  It was originally the back of an old metal lawn chair.  There were two of them, so there is another one on the other side of the French doors.

French doors going out to balcony patio off of master bedroom.

I have a lot to do on our balcony patio.  I want to decorate it, etc.  I did get furniture purchased this past spring, so that completes step #1.

We have great views from our balcony patio.

This is an old dugout and storehouse in our backyard.  It is beautiful in the spring and early summer, b/c it is fully covered in greenery.

  1. Yeah, I am glad you participated. I love the color of your walls, they are very calm and soothing! Everything looks great-it doesn't even look like the same bedroom! The balcony looks great-I wouldn't want to get off of the chaise especially with your views. Your furniture looks great as well. Everything looks great!

  2. Oooh ya... and your chair artwork is beautiful! I would have never thought to hang them on the wall, but I love it! I love finding neat trash.

  3. I love the balcony and view! That is so cool!! Y'all have done so much work... amazing! I'm always amazed by people who can do that! I have no patience and Jason is NOT a handyman at all! :)

  4. Just beautiful!! I think it reflects you perfectly!!! Such a nice view and you DO decorate cute.....Love it!!
