4-H Shooting Extravaganza

On Saturday, April 20, 2013, we all traveled to Brownwood, TX, so that Kade could participate in his very first 4-H Shooting Extravaganza.  It was quite an experience!  He participated in the Compound Basic Archery and the Light Rifle competitions.  He loved the archery competition and held his ground against his competitor, even though we were total amateurs and only brought 3 arrows to the contest!  Luckily, 4-H believes in training their kids up to be nice and respectful and another kid allowed Kade to borrow some of his arrows.  We were embarrassed at the time, but look back on it now and laugh.  Live and learn --- it was a good lesson for Kade!  The wind was blowing pretty steady that entire Saturday, so it made the light rifle competition pretty difficult, but we went and had a great time.
