We started our weekend activities on Friday evening by going to a nearby town and eating with friends. They recently finished building their home, so we were able to see it for the first time, too. It is absolutely beautiful! Layton stayed with their little boy at home and played, while their little girl and Kade went with the adults to eat (their grandmother was in for the weekend, so she watched the little boys). We had a wonderful time and it was so nice to see our friends (it has been about 2 years since we saw them last).

On Saturday the boys and I went to the DFW area for a birthday party. My cousin's little boy turned one this weekend, so we helped him celebrate. He is just precious!
