Hunting for Arrowheads

This past Saturday the boys went to my parents' house for the day.  My mom's cousin and his grandson, Blaze, were down hunting, so Kade & Layton wanted to go see them.  When Blaze wasn't hunting (he got a nice 8 point buck with a wide spread!), Babers took all three of them to look for arrowheads.  My parents have an Indian burial ground in the pasture behind their house.  Almost everything has already been excavated by a university, but you never know what might turn up, especially since my dad has dozed some of the trees in the surrounding area.  No luck, though.  A wonderful time was had, of course--they were digging in dirt!

Clint worked on Saturday and I attended a friend's wedding.  On Sunday, we had a busy day with Sunday school, PIPs and then back to church that evening to decorate for Christmas (a yummy taco soup dinner was served!).

Kade digging and inspecting.

Layton with a find--looks like an animal bone of some sort!
